Angelica restaurant is now opening in Jerusalem. At this kosher chef restaurant you will find seasonal dishes with fine grill touches. The place is owned by two partners – Marcus Gershkowitz and Chef Erez Margi, which will be the in-house chef.

 

Chef Erez Margi – went to culinary studies at the Dan hotels, from there he continued to the United States there he worked at "Bid" restaurant under the supervision of Chef Matthew Seeber and at Chef floyd Cardoze's "Tabla" restaurant. Later on he moved to San Francisco and worked at "Boulevard" restaurant with Chefs Nancy Oaks and Pamela Mazola.

 

In 2005 Erez came back to Israel and worked at Rafael restaurant as a suchef and at Canela in Jerusalem. Later on he established and opened the Buffalo Steak House in the German colony in Jerusalem.

 

Marcus Gershkowitz – finished culinary studies at Hadasa College in Jerusalem. From there he continued to Chef's Ezra Kedem's "Arkadia". Later on he moved to Tel-Aviv and worked at Rafael restaurant for 4 years, two of which he was suchef. In 2005 he transferred to Canela restaurant, there he was manager for one year and the restaurant's chef for two more.

 

The menu consists of 11 starters and 10 main dishes, in addition to a large variety of steaks by the weight: entrecote, sirloin and rump for dessert you will find a large assortment of tarts and fruit salad in champagne dressing.

 

When putting the menu together, the two chefs put an emphasis on seasonal and local raw materials. Most dishes are made on the grill - a wonderful addition of taste and aroma.

 

The design at Angelica is homey and clean. The wooden tables are dressed by white table clothes, the color pallet is light and in the middle of the restaurant there is a big majestic table with antipasti platters. The restaurant was designed by Shahar Ben-Amram, who designed a few places in Jerusalem, such as the new Chakra Bar, Havatzelet bar and Gotham.

 

The restaurant seats 80 people, 10 of which on the bar.
